The Horror Writers Association recently released a new book and it’s a wonderful one. Collated by the HWA Wellness Committee, the book, Of Horror and Hope, contains reflections on mental health from a variety of HWA members. Naching T. Kassa’s article, “Do Not Go Gentle: Living with Depression,” can be found among them.
The collection was collated by Lee Murray and Angela Yuriko Smith, with a foreword by Dave Jeffrey. The cover was created by Greg Chapman.
The HWA wants you to know that if you suffer from mental illness, or know someone who does, you are not alone. There is hope. And many of the contributors have used the darkness of horror to combat the darkness within.
The HWA is offering the book for free here. You can also learn more about the HWA Wellness committee here.
